Tailgate Alaska was a web series which premiered last year consisting of 10 episodes that follow the journeys a few boarders in search of some serious powder and Alaskan terrain. However this year they have put together a movie with the likes of some big names and serious filming effort. (see promo below).
Tailgate Alaska is not just a movie though, it is also a “life changing event” scheduled for March 25 – April 10, 2011 on Thompson Pass, in Valdez, Alaska. Follow their website for upcoming details.

Alongside the movie they are steadily releasing new episodes of Tailgate Alaska Un-Cut on Vimeo. These episodes show you some of the unedited footage of what went down in some obviously epic adventures.
One things for sure, if you’re looking to head up to Alaska for some fresh tracks, better bring your avalanche gear, a heli & someone that knows what the hell they’re doing. Definitely a trip I wouldn’t pass up if offered upon. However I’m not going to lie, some of that terrain looks absolutely insane.
