That is The Question
I am recently faced with the decision to purchase a camber or reverse camber board for this upcoming season. We all know the hype by now, but if not – reverse camber is the opposite of normal camber boards; see below

Almost every major competitor out there has their reverse camber version boards now. Burtons got their V-Rocker, Lib Tech’s got the Banana, etc. Then there are the less traditional variations such as Arbor’s parabolic rocker which only reverses the camber more towards the tail and nose.
It’s not a decision to take lightly, as it can greatly affect your riding and style on the mountain. However not all boards are created equally for all terrain. While a rocker board may have more flex and control in the pow, its not going to pop as good as a traditional camber board, and thus may not be suited as well for the park.
Which brings me back to dilemma numero uno. To reverse or not to reverse. I think im going to snag me a Burton V-Rocker, such as the ‘Hate’, or perhaps the Arbor Draft for this season, time will tell. I need something super light & super flexible. After all, I only weigh a buck 35lbs and really need a board that will respond to that much pressure.
I’ll keep my Solomon Sanchez for the backyard park and maybe a few days this season, but a new reverse camber board is sounding jall too appealing right now. What are you all riding?
